Ariadne Albright
Ariadne (air-ee-odd-knee) Albright is a visual artist with significant experience in arts education, all abilities community engagement, and creative aging. She has worked across South Dakota and nationally, designing and leading arts programs for schools, healthcare settings, and underserved communities. A two-time recipient of the South Dakota Arts Council’s Creative Aging Grant, she has directed initiatives such as the "I Believe II Women's Prison Project" and the CDC-supported Barn Quilt Project, which merged artistic expression with public health efforts.
Ariadne’s contributions include authoring Creative Care: An Artist in Healthcare and Creative Care Projects, as well as editing the National Organization of Arts in Health's (NOAH) Core Curriculum. In 2023, she received the Teaching Artist Guild Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her dedication to the field. Current Arts in Health Instructor at the University of South Dakota, through her workshops and presentations, she continues to foster creativity, connection, and well-being through the arts.
