Myra Klein

Woman (Myra Klein) portrait
Myra Klein is a multidisciplinary artist with a deep passion for inspiring a love of the arts in people of all ages. Since 2017, Klein has worked full-time as a teaching artist and muralist, collaborating primarily with small, rural K-12 schools. She has experience working alongside students, teachers, administrators, and community leaders and has been grown through all of these experiences.

Building personal relationships within the communities is a core value for Klein, as is her commitment to engage deeply with the residency communities.

During her art residencies, student artists may learn printmaking, clay, painting, beading, jewelry making, fiber arts, mosaics, glass fusing, and creating collaborative art projects. She also offers instruction on creating murals with upper grade levels and adults. Student artists receive hands-on instruction and guidance throughout the project. During the residency, student artists will work with a variety of mediums.

As an enthusiastic instructor, Klein encourages students of all ages to take ownership of their creative vision. The goal is to create a positive and inspiring environment that leaves students eager to continue exploring their artistic potential.
