SOUTH DAKOTA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, which celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2012, has a long history of serving audiences throughout the state. The orchestra has nine full-time musicians and 60 professional musicians from across the region. The orchestra regularly tours its mainstage classical and pops programs to communities throughout South Dakota and is available for hire for special engagements.
Technical requirements: South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and Lakota Music Project: Large stage (minimum 40' x 50') with
adequate number of straight-backed, armless chairs and Manhasset-type music stands, adequate
overhead lighting, room temperature between 68 and 80 degrees and ventilation. Performance space
must be available two hours prior to concert.SDAC support up to 50%.
